Bieber to release a song for EX: Selena Gomez

Justin Bieber has pulled a Taylor Swift. The 18-year-old is releasing his “Believe Acoustic” album Tuesday, which features a song he wrote about his breakup with ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez. The track is called “Nothing Like Us” and Bieber opens up to Billboard about his life post-split.

“There's so many rumors,” Bieber says. “People say I call Selena every day and she won't pick up the phone or I'm chasing her down, and these are all fake stories. I don't go on blogs or anything like that. I hear things. People tell me if something happens on the Internet. It gets back to me, definitely.”
As for the song itself, the interviewer describes “Nothing Like Us” as a very real and heartfelt song.



“Because at the end of the day, there's nothing like us, you know?” the “Baby” singer explains. “That's just it. It is what it is. People are going to relate to that.”

“I'm not in the happiest place that I've ever been,” continued Bieber when asked if he was heartbroken. “I'm trying to get through what I'm going through. Like I said, I have my really close friends to cheer me up and keep me going.”
However the singer insists he is having fun “all of the time.”

“I'm 18. I have a great team around me. I have great friends. We have a blast. They keep me occupied and my mind off of the negative things,” Bieber reveals. “It's funny when people are like, "You're 18. What have you really gone through?" I'm thinking, "What do you mean? When you were 18, you don't think that you went through stuff?" When you are 18, you're going through that transition. You have a high school girlfriend, you might not. Going to college. Figuring yourself out, leaving home.”

Who else is going to be checking out Bieber’s new album when it’s released tomorrow? The curiosity factor is on overdrive!

Bieber will serve double-duty hosting and acting as musical guest on “Saturday Night Live” on February 9.

Rick Ross birthday drive by shooting attempt...

For most of us, hitting a nightclub until the wee morning hours would be enough excitement for one night, but rapper Rick Ross got an extra dose when he was the target of an attempted drive-by shooting early Monday morning.

The eccentric musician had spent the night celebrating his 37th birthday at club LIV in Miami, and later, while driving down swanky Las Olas Boulevard with his fashion designer girlfriend Sateria Moragne-el, shots were fired in the direction of the couple’s 2011 silver Rolls Royce, causing Ross to lose control of the vehicle and crash into an apartment building, according to the Fort Lauderdale Police Department.



Neither Ross, who lives in the nearby town of Davie, Florida, nor 28-year-old Moragne-el were injured and the suspects fled the scene prior to the police’s arrival, according to the report.

Prior to the crash, while partying at LIV, Ross was clearly having a good time, and kept his more than 2 million Twitter followers posted with tweets like “Lotta $$$$ in CLUB LIV TONIGHT” and “3 blunts lit a once.”

Speaking of blunts, Ross has had a few brushes with the law around marijuana. In January 2008 he was arrested on marijuana and gun possession charges in Florida and, three years later, was arrested again for marijuana possession in Shreveport, Louisiana, after complaints were made that the smell of the drug was coming from his hotel room and police found marijuana in his room.

But while Ross (real name: William Roberts) has played up gang connections as part of his public persona, during his 2008 deposition his lawyer successfully proved he wasn't involved with the Carol City Cartel as he had claimed. A transcript from the deposition obtained by The Smoking Gun shows that when Ross’ lawyer asked a Miami Beach police officer why Ross’ case had been assigned to a gang task force he replied, “Because your client claims affiliation with Carol City Cartel and other known gang members” but then admitted he had no proof of any gang affiliations, no members from the Carol City gang had ever claimed he was a member, and he had never been arrested in Miami-Dade County before. Adding to Ross’ “damaged” reputation, photos surfaced that showed he had actually worked as a correctional officer.

At least one fellow hip-hop artist (and admitted Ross hater), 50 Cent, thinks that the crash might have been fake … perhaps part of a scheme by Ross to try seem more gangster?

“Hahaha fat boy hit the building? lol,” he tweeted on Monday, along with a photo of the crashed car. “it looks staged to me. No hole's in da car.” Maybe the shooters just had bad aim?

CELEBRITY LAPD. Taye Diggs stomps intruder

Sunday night was full of action for Taye Diggs.

Mere hours after he presented with “Cougar Town” actress Busy Philipps at the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, the “Private Practice” actor single-handedly nabbed an intruder at his Studio City, California, home… and we can only assume he looked good doing it.

Law enforcement sources says that Diggs was home at about 11:20 p.m. when a 20-year-old man named Hassan Juma allegedly broke in, probably thinking the owners were not there. Diggs, 42, was home though and he took off chasing after the fleeing suspect, actually holding down Juma until police arrived. There was reportedly also a getaway driver, who sped off and is still at large. The LAPD has also confirmed the incident.

Diggs and his wife Idina Menzel were having a fun evening before the home invasion. At 9:45 p.m., he tweeted about a post-awards party, “I had a blast. My favorite part is the dance party afterwards. Dj Paesche kills it and everyone's on the dance floor.” Menzel also posted a fun photo to her WhoSay page of the couple on the way to the awards show, earlier in the night.

It’s unclear if Menzel and the couple’s 3-year-old son, Walker, were also home at the time of the intrusion. But if she was there, she probably would have been a big help to her husband. Last week, the “Glee” actress tweeted, “Have I mentioned I've been boxing lately? My trainer lets me beat up on guys and they can't hit me back.”

Sounds like the home intruder never stood a chance between Diggs and Menzel!
It's been a bad streak for home intruders and celebrity owners. Also on Sunday night, LL Cool J explained to Oprah Winfrey during an interview on her OWN network about the time last summer when he took down a man who broke into his home while his family slept. “He had this Manson kinda beard look,” described the rapper-actor, who gave the guy a broken nose, jaw, and ribs in the "knocked-down, drag-out” fight.

“Black jacket, ready to take care of business. Looked definitely scary. I think anyone who is put in that position who really wants to take care of their family would have done what I did.” Diggs' rep confirmed the actor's heroics, but did not provide any more details.

Chris Brown supposedly assaults Frank ocean

According to sources, the controversial singer is being investigated for a possible assault in West Hollywood, the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department confirms. The incident stemmed from an argument with fellow singer Frank Ocean over a parking spot outside a recording studio.

Police responded to a call stating that six men were fighting outside the Westlake Recording Studio on Sunday. While the scene was clear when police arrived, the investigation determined that "the altercation allegedly led to Chris Brown punching the victim," the department said in a statement released Monday.

While the victim's name wasn't released by police, Ocean says he was injured by Brown, 23. "Got jumped by Chris and a couple guys," the "Thinkin Bout You" singer, 25, tweeted on Sunday night. While he made light of the situation with a "lol," Ocean – who is up for six Grammys on February 10 – noted, "Cut my finger now I can't play with two hands at the grammys."

An unnamed source told TMZ that as Brown was exiting parking lot after listening to a new track by an artist he represents, Ocean and his pals blocked the exit. "This is my studio, this is my parking spot," Ocean, who came out as a gay man in July, reportedly said to Brown. When Brown went to shake Ocean's hand, a fight broke out.

Brown and Ocean have a history of drama. In 2011, they had a war of words over Twitter when Ocean thought Brown insulted his singing abilities.

Brown seemed to address the new drama with Ocean in a post on Instagram that went up Monday morning. "Working on my album. Not working on negativity," he wrote along with a photo showing him in the studio the day before. "Focus on feeding ya family. Bulls--t will forever be in the shadows."

Of course, talk of Brown allegedly assaulting a singer prior to the Grammys will make many people flashback to his violent attack of his on-again girlfriend Rihanna following a pre-Grammys party in 2009. He later pled guilty to felony assault charges.

Brown is still on supervised probation for the Rihanna assault, so he could face a probation violation if he is convicted of this new charge. He’s already on thin ice with the judge, who gave him a talking to in November after he failed a mandatory drug test.

This isn’t the only assault drama Brown has been involved with. In June, he was injured in a fight with hip-hop rival Drake and their entourages at a New York City nightclub. Brown fled the scene before police arrived during that incident as well. Ultimately, there was not enough evidence to criminally charge either star.

Nigeria’s University of Benin unveils Cure for HIV/AIDS.

The drug had been exposed to series of medical examination both in Nigeria and in the USA.

 A cure for Human Immunodeficiency Virus, HIV, and Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome, AIDS, has been discovered, a Professor at the University of Benin said Today.
Isaiah Ibeh, the Dean of the School of Basic Medical Science of the University, said in Benin that the herbal drug has undergone “series of successful tests”.

“We are at the threshold of making history, in the sense that we seem to have with us something that will permanently take care of what over time seems to have defied all solutions.
“We are talking about the latest discovery of an oral drug made from plants extraction in Nigeria for the possible cure of the pandemic, HIV and AIDS virus,” he said.
Mr. Ibeh said research on the project started in 2010 and culminated in the development of “Deconcotion X (DX)–Liquid or Bioclean 11 for the cure of HIV and AIDS”.
He said that while the existing retroviral drugs are intervention drugs for the management of AIDS, the new discovery is a possible cure.

“We have tried to look at the product first; its toxicological analysis and discovered that it has a large safety margin. This means that if animals or human beings are exposed to it, they will not suffer any serious harm at all from the exposure.
“It also helped us to know the quantity we can conveniently give to animals and will feel secure that nothing untoward will happen. We have also done the bacteriological analysis on it, after which we looked at its effect on the virus and the result was quite revealing and refreshing.”
Mr. Ibeh also said that the drug had been exposed to series of medical examination both in Nigeria and in the USA.

He added that the drug had performed well on patients with the HIV virus and had shown evidence of total restoration of damaged tissues.
“The result showed an increase in the body weight of the individual administered with DX,” he said. “The body weight was statistically significant when compared with the control group.”
He said that further tests were being conducted to determine the point at which “a patient becomes negative after being administered the drug?”
“This verification is necessary because it is what is used to measure whether infection is still there or not. So we need to know the siro-convention time.

“But preliminary results showed that of the five latest patients orally administered with the drugs, our findings is that up to seven months , three of them were siro negative while two were sill faintly positive,” he said.
Mr. Ibeh appealed for support from the Federal Government and relevant bodies to assist the university with relevant equipment to sustain the research. - NAN.
